China Energy runs 97 coal mines, with an annual production capacity of 684.85 million tons. Among them, 74 are underground mines, totaling an annual capacity of 420.8 million tons, and 23 are open-pit mines, totaling an annual capacity of 264.05 million tons. In 2017, the group produced 508 million tons of coal, with a coal face mechanization rate reaching 100 percent.
The Shendong Coal Group under China Energy boasts the world’s first 200-million-ton coal mine, and its Bulianta Coal Mine is the world’s largest single shaft mine, with an annual production capacity of 28 million tons.
China Energy’s coal segment has set many records in the industry and won multiple awards including National May 1 Labor Medal, China Environment Award, National Quality Award and National Science and Technology Progress Award. The “Shendong Modern Mine Construction and Production Technology” received First Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
